The Media Center now provides a RSS News Feed to make it easier for you to keep up with what is happening in the library. We will publish information about new titles, podcasts, webcasts or any other information through our news feed.

The acronym "RSS" stands for "Really Simple Syndication" or "Rich Site Summary". An RSS feed, also known as a "news feed", is a syndicated news feed in an XML format that you can subscribe to.
A news feed reader, also known as a "news aggregator", is software that lets you subscribe to RSS feeds.
Using an RSS feed reader allows you to be alerted when new articles on the topics you're interested in are available. Many feed readers will pop-up a new window when a new article is available, or are integrated into mail clients or web browsers. When you are alerted to a new title in the Multimedia Library, you can click on the link and you will be directed to the new title's catalog record.
Both Firefox and the new Internet Explorer (IE) 7.0 incorporate news readers into their web browsers. There are many other freeware and shareware readers including Google Reader.
